I have a few thoughts:
1. We were dealing with an unknown virus that killed 1,000,000 + Americans. It was an extraordinary event that no computer model could have spit out an answer to.
2. If companies would stop spouting the bs of productivity and collaboration improvements in the office and told their employees the truth “we need you back in the office because our city depends on it to keep the service industry alive and our streets safe” they would get a much better response. Maybe not 9-5 five days a week (dated model) but with flexibilty and a goal of improving the common good and saving our cities…employees would respond.
